New Beginnings, Dennison Memorial Community Center welcomes new Employee
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - March. 29, 2022
In today’s world of Tiktok Dances, Instagram Stories, and Wordle, Dennison Memorial Community Center, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, recognized the need for someone adept in social media in order to better their communication with the community. It was during this time that recent Bridgewater State University graduate, Lillianne Condez, reached out to Dennison asking to meet.
Lillianne Condez, 23, is a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University earning her Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a Public Relations concentration, and a long-time resident of New Bedford. Post-graduation, Lillianne had intended to travel abroad to teach English in South Korea but in light of current travel restrictions, decided to embark on a new path starting her career in Public Relations.
This was not the first encounter between the two as Lillianne had presented a social media plan to the Dennison Staff in December of 2021 as a final project for her Non-Profits class. “I had just graduated from BSU and was looking for a job that would help me gain experience but also feed my need to help people, particularly children.” Lillianne said, “When I discovered Dennison still needed someone to handle their online presence, it was a no-brainer. I knew where I wanted to be.”
Dennison Memorial Community Center is hopeful about the recruitment of Lillianne Condez as their new Director of Public Relations. Lillianne's skillset and drive to help others is set to compliment Dennison's staff as they continue to give to the southend community.
